Longtime product leader will oversee design strategy across product, platform, and brand
AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, April 1, 2026 -- Dispel, the leader in Secure Remote Access (SRA) for Operational Technology (OT), today announced that Anton Åberg has been appointed Chief Design Officer. In this role, Åberg will lead design strategy across the company’s product platform and brand experience.
The leadership appointment comes as Dispel continues expanding its platform for OT secure remote access and data streaming across industrial and critical infrastructure environments, as organizations modernize operations and enable secure remote service at scale.
Åberg has been with Dispel for nearly a decade and previously served as Chief Product Officer, leading the company’s product organization during a period of rapid platform expansion. As Chief Design Officer, he will focus on shaping the user experience and design architecture across the Dispel Zero Trust Engine while ensuring consistency between the product experience and brand identity.
“Anton has played a critical role in shaping the platform that customers rely on today,” said Ian Schmertzler, Co-CEO of Dispel. “His leadership has helped define the user experience and product philosophy behind Dispel’s approach to secure remote access for operational technology. This new role allows him to focus fully on design leadership across both the product and the broader Dispel brand.”
Before joining Dispel, Åberg served as Head of Design at TripleMint, where he led product and experience design initiatives. At Dispel, he has helped guide the evolution of the company’s platform from its early architecture into a unified secure connectivity platform supporting industrial operations worldwide.
“Design plays a critical role in how organizations adopt and trust security platforms,” said Åberg. “I’m excited to focus on shaping how Dispel’s technology is experienced across product, platform, and brand as we continue to scale.”
